My stay at The Halcyon was a mix of highs and lows. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from Bath's main attractions, and I enjoyed the charming decor and cozy atmosphere. However, I experienced unprofessional service from the staff that fell short of my expectations, and I encountered a few cleanliness issues that were disappointing.

Rooms

I found the layout of my room appealing, but it lacked the comfort I expected for the price I paid. The cleanliness was not up to standard, which was disappointing.

The service was really hit or miss. While some staff members were friendly and helpful, my experiences with reception felt disconnected and unprofessional. I had issues with complaints that were never properly addressed.

The Halcyon's location is ideal, right in the heart of Bath, making it super easy to explore the city's attractions. I loved being so close to everything.

I found the dining options were somewhat underwhelming. The breakfast lacked variety, and the restaurant's location in the basement made it less inviting. I ended up eating out instead.
Facilities

The facilities included a cocktail bar that I enjoyed, but there were cleanliness issues that marred the experience. I found someone else's hair in my bed, which was quite off-putting.

The staff were incredibly accommodating and added a personal touch to my experience, making up for the room's shortcomings.

My stay at The Halcyon in Bath was lovely. I appreciated the modern rooms set within a classic building, which added a unique charm. The location was excellent, so close to shops and restaurants, though I did find the rooms a bit small and warm without air conditioning. The attentive staff made my visit even more enjoyable, as they were incredibly helpful with recommendations and bookings.
